Technical Writing

An engineer by qualification, I have been working in the IT industry, and networking in particular for twenty years. Which means that I have seen, implemented, and fixed, most technologies, network designs, and user 'problems'.

I've installed networking equipment on oil platforms in the middle of the North Sea, in Russia and in Nigeria as well is in the UK. I've worked for petrochemical companies, finance houses and spent several years as a systems engineer for Cisco in the UK.

I also spent four years as the Network Editor for PC Magazine (when it was a Ziff-Davis publication) -- you would have known me as Louise Lindop then. And I've been reviewing, testing and writing about network technologies and equipment on and off for ten years.

I currently write technology articles for Techworld, an IDG online publication. I strongly recommend it. Though if you're looking for my articles there, you'll find me as Louise McKeag (so many names!).

If you need any help with technical authoring, white papers, general technology articles, or any other networking-related work, please email me

Thank you, Robert Metcalfe. Where would we be without Ethernet?
